After you enroll, our admissions team will help secure housing for you. Our Financial Aid team will help you determine a budget – so don’t freak out about your housing situation. It’s usually pretty quick and easy to find our students a place to live.

The Office of the Registrar provides document services for current and former students, DIT Alumni, educational institutions and industry employers. From transcripts to progress reports, students and alumni can contact the Registrar for any documents or assistance.

Tutoring: An instructor is available for free tutoring and special instruction outside of class by appointment. Students are urged to utilize this assistance if they have questions or to prevent falling behind in their studies.

We celebrate each class graduating with a 1-hour ceremony and reception at our facility on Lake Union. See upcoming graduation dates and important RSVP information.

What’s new: The Careers That Work! Scholarship program makes available five $1000 scholarships to every high school – public and private – in Oregon, Washington and Idaho to award to graduating seniors headed to one of the NWCCF participating member colleges. This includes alternative high schools and skill centers. High schools select the recipients.

The Class President, Vice President, Safety Officer and Media Manager are elected from among the members of the class and voted on as a class group during the second month of training.

The President and Vice President coordinate the daily dive bills for class members, ensuring that each member of the class rotates through the various positions on a dive station (hat set up, tender, diver, rack/comms, charts, runner, Job Safety Analysis presenter) and is scheduled for dive time to meet the bottom time requirements of each week’s diving module. They also communicate as a liaison between their class and the Training Department/School leadership.

The Safety Officer maintains the class members’ dive charts, learns and teaches classmates how to write the daily diving Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and meets with the Staff Safety Officer each month to communicate about class/campus safety needs.

The Media Manager takes pictures and videos of the class for social media and makes the class video for graduation. 

Divers Institute of Technology gives out 12 scholarships per year to the Honor Student of each class (one $1,000 scholarship each month). The Honor Student is the student who has the highest academic grade average after finals.

There are six different scholarships given during the course of the year:

• The Kevin Griffeth Scholarship is given multiple times per year
• The Michael Cocks Scholarship
• The John Manlove Scholarship
• The Richard “Ragman” Radecki Scholarship
• The Zachary Zoulek Scholarship
• The Jesse Tabor Scholarship

The first four scholarships are funded by the 501 3(c) Divers Institute Foundation. The Foundation is funded by personal donations. The fifth scholarship is funded by the family of DIT graduate Zachary Zoulek. The sixth scholarship is funded by the family of DIT graduate Jesse Tabor.
